It was a late afternoon Sunday evening in November. I was lurking the garden looking to take pictures of birds when I realized this capture of forks would be enough of a reward. There are magical times for capturing good photography; they are early morning and late afternoon. Autumn in California is not as colorful as you would find in may other regions of the United State, but the muted colors do provide a great backdrop.
This is an old fence I came across at Foothills Regional Park in Windsor. It wasn’t clearly evident why it was there. As far as I can see, there are no domesticated animals in the park to keep in a certain area. Perhaps there was on the original property before it became a park. If that’s the case, then this fence has outlived it’s usefulness.
The turn it takes also baffled me. It could be a case where it defined an old property line.
I found this little guy having a snack on the grounds of the Luther Burbank Experiment Farm in Sebastopol. He was busy, but he didn’t mind having a stare down with me.
