This pitch in progress was captured at the San Francisco Giants – St Louis Cardinals game on July 3rd at ATT park. I happen to be sitting just behind the Cardinals dugout so I had a good chance to get in close with my telescopic lens. This is Madison Bumgarner, pitcher for the San Francisco Giants in action. I knew I wanted to capture the motion of the pitch, but he concentration in the eyes really struck me once I saw the final capture. The Giants lost the game and finished off a home stand with a 2-8 record continuing the recent slide in the standings they’ve had. Other than that, it was a great day for a baseball game at one of the premier parks in the major leagues.
